For the second time, TAG Heuer and UK personalisation house Bamford Watch Department have come together to create a special edition collaboration. The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition watch combines both brand’s extraordinary approach to design with a lightweight titanium case, eye-catching orange accented dial and three-row sandblasted bracelet.
Despite their youthful age, the Bamford Watch Department has had no trouble putting their mark on the luxury watch industry, becoming highly recognisable for their unique and personalised watches. George Bamford, the founder and genius behind the Bamford Watch Company, became inspired to create one-of-a-kind timepieces when on his 18th birthday he received a Rolex Daytona watch that he realised also appeared on the wrists of all his friends and family. With such a passion for individuality, George took it upon himself to apply a DLC coating to the watch and the result was breathtaking.
Since that moment, the Bamford Watch Department has worked alongside many luxury watch brands to create unique timepieces inspired by a love of the extraordinary. In 2018, TAG Heuer and George Bamford came together to create a special edition version of the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco, which with its forged carbon case and a vibrant blue dial was met with international acclaim. So as expected, another collaboration between the pair is highly anticipated, and at first glance, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition has not disappointed. By combining the Bamford Watch Department’s talent for distorting design codes with the spirit of TAG Heuer’s heritage, they have created an exclusive wristwatch that is sure to appeal to aficionados and collectors everywhere.

The limited edition of 1,500 pieces showcases the Bamford Watch Department’s instantly recognisable style through its 43mm grade 2 titanium case and elegant black dial. At 6 o’clock, the brand’s name is adorned above the words “Aquaracer” and the water resistant rating of 300 metres. Lightweight, ultra-robust and hypoallergenic grade 2 titanium is also found on the 60 minute scale unidirectional rotating bezel and the resilient three-row sandblasted bracelet.
The sporty dial of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition watch features black-gold plated hands detailed with orange lacquer and treated with white Superluminova and similarly applied Superluminova indexes that allow effortless reading in all lighting conditions. Protecting the dial is flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment paired with a screw down crown at 3 o’clock and a grade 2 titanium screw down case back engraved with a the classic diving helmet decoration and the limited edition number out of 1,500 pieces.
Ticking at the heart of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition is the flagship Calibre 5 automatic winding movement. The Swiss made calibre, with its 25 jewels and power reserve of 42 hours, uses the ETA 2824-2 as its base and runs at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The mechanical movement also provides classic central hands for hours, minutes and seconds and a date window at 3 o’clock amplified by a magnifying glass.
