Exploring the new La Grande Classiques de Longines watches for 2022, in their new carmine red, spring green, classic black, burnt orange and cobalt blue hues.
If you’ve been following all the latest Jura Watches new closely, you’ll have been reading up on the new colourful Longines DolceVita watches for 2022, which we covered recently here. The five new timepieces boast a fresh pop of colour to the already much-loved collection with five new shades that included carmine red, spring green, classic black, burnt orange and cobalt blue. At the heart of these designs was a sole focus on a daring and cheeky playfulness. The models certainly encourage their wearers to be a bit more “out there” when it comes to expressing their taste in fine luxury wristwatches. The Dolce Vita watch collection by Longines has always been a place of rich, luxurious, feminine styles. These distinct rectangular cases boast elegantly simple dials and classic undertones that promote easy timekeeping for those always on the go. In that same vein, Longines has also decided to extend its popular La Grande Classiques watch collection with the same five vibrant colours.
The La Grande Classiques de Longines watch collection has always been the preferred choice for devoted Longines watch collectors who love traditional styles and classic designs. Whilst the Dolce Vita watch series is renowned for its distinct rectangular-shaped cases and more recently, its softened corners for a more subtle and softer look - the La Grande Classiques watch collection is home to a family of perfectly round dials and bezels. This time, Longines adorns the surface of these bezels with a selection of Top Wesselton diamonds for a scintillating finish on the wrist. These stones are all carefully chosen by Longines at the company’s manufacturing facilities and create a breath-taking display of fire and brilliance when caught under the light. The unique dial colours of each new La Grande Classiques watch from Longines are all matched by an accompanying leather strap in the same innovative hue. Suffice to say, these new models certainly support the Swiss brand’s slogan of “Elegance is an Attitude”.
By spreading the company’s message of classic elegance, the La Grande Classiques watch collection by Longines has come to be one of the Saint-Imier-based brand’s most iconic and collectable series. By augmenting an affectionate ode to the gentle way of life, these new colourful models are particularly interesting, since they suggest a gentle move away from these subtleties and a gradual turn instead towards breaking the design codes of the collection. The carmine-red model certainly demands undivided attention with its sharp pop of deep red tones and ice white shimmering bezel-set stones, whilst the spring green watch grounds the collection with earthy tones that call to mind a spring morning. The black dial version is the most classic of all five new models, drawing the design back into a more traditional style. The burnt orange iteration belonging to the new La Grande Classiques de Longines collection has warm and charming tones that will pair well with autumnal attire, long after the summer months have passed. Lastly, the cobalt blue iteration is incredibly fetching but is also a colour associated with balance and harmony.
Whichever colour you choose from the new range of La Grande Classiques de Longines watches, these new 2022 models are quirky and bold making them ideal as a centrepiece to a suit or work attire. In addition to this, they’re also punchy enough to add a touch of colour to weekend attire. The straps are interchangeable, enabling you to transform the look of your timepiece by alternating with another band as and when you wish. It’s certainly no argument that a beige or traditional brown or black alligator leather strap will neutralise and tone down these watches if you’re looking to achieve something a little more subdued for a work meeting.
The new 29mm watches are all powered by a quartz movement and forego any hour markers around the hour track, achieving a striking minimalist look. Crafted from stainless steel and integrated with 30-meter water resistance, these new women’s luxury watches are fitted with a strong scratch-resistant piece of anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass and feature the famous winged hourglass logo at 12 o’clock on the dial. Aside from a striking collection of 44 Top Wesselton diamonds, encrusted to the surface of each bezel, these new colourful La Grande Classiques de Longines watches are also ultra-thin – their cases taking residence upon the wrist with a mere depth of just 4.5mm.
