Introducing the SEVENFRIDAY P3c/10 and P3c/12 Beach Club Watches

The SEVENFRIDAY P3c/10 and P3c/12 Beach Club watches are the perfect companions for wearing on vacation. Equipped with a 100-meter water resistance, they each present themselves in bright white tones with a touch of vibrant colour seen in the turquoise and lipstick pink dial elements.
A couple of years ago, SEVENFRIDAY released the P3c/03 Beach Club watch. Perhaps it wasn’t best timed, since at that point in time, the majority of the population could only dream of sipping a cocktail or two whilst enjoying the feeling of sand and seawater seeping through their toes. Quarantine certainly got us yearning for a summer holiday, but even if we couldn’t get out to the coast, we could at least pretend to with the Beach Club watch strapped to our wrist. The circle-in-a-square watch derives from the P-series – the first collection to have been released by the brand an entire decade ago.
Whereas the running theme throughout the collection has always been weighted on an engineering concept, the P3c/03 watch was both playful and refreshing, emphasising the brand’s inclination to break the mould. A hint of lime green between the 40-60 minute markers on the outer track of the dial, combined with an electric blue colour, suggested surfers vibes, backed by a motion reiterated by company founder Daniel Niederer that we should “live life as if every day is a Friday”. Calling on the need to let loose, the Beach Club watch kept us hanging in there for a hopeful successor. Now, these needs have been answered. SEVENFRIDAY released two additional models just last year – this time crafted from stainless steel and white acetate to create a refreshing colour palette inspired by the Greek Isles.
You can just about imagine yourself there. Soaking in the last-minute rays of sunshine whilst sipping champagne on a chalk-white terrace or diving into the turquoise sea as the sun sets. That is the inspiration behind the two recently released SEVENFRIDAY Beach Club watches in lipstick pink and turquoise. Both models are easily identifiable thanks to their shot of hot pink colour and turquoise blue shades seen in the animation ring, the bezel and the crown, not to mention several elements on the multi-layered dial itself.
The P3c/12 and P3c/P10 watches both measure 47.6mm in diameter, packing a punch on the wrist. They’ve also been crafted from stainless steel with robust bezels, crowns and casebacks. The models have an animation ring that runs around the sides of the case, sitting underneath the bezel. Made from layers of white acetate, it boasts a bezel line that is grooved and filled with pink or turquoise to match each respective design. The inner part of the bezel is also executed in a sandblasted finish, whilst the crown at 3 o’clock has been engraved with the iconic 7F logo, filled with pink or turquoise.
The three-piece construction of the SEVENFRIDAY Beach Club watches comprises a 316L stainless steel case, bezel, caseback and a case topped with a strong piece of sapphire crystal glass to protect its surface. Both of the designs are integrated with 100-meter water resistance and feature a four-layer dial construction with contoured plates in a thin chrome frame. The opaline white dial of both SEVENFRIDAY Beach Club watches has an external ring with a highlighted section in lipstick pink or turquoise to show the minutes between 40 and 60. A stamped grid pattern features an inner hour ring with just the Arabic numerals representing the 12 o’clock location in their respective colours. This location, together with a rectangular marker to highlight the 4 and 8 o’clock spots is treated with luminous material. The hour and minute hands, together with the small pointer on the second hand are all treated with this same luminous material to assist with timekeeping in dark conditions.
These Beach Club watches from SEVENFRIDAY are powered by the Miyota 82S7 automatic movement, which provides a useful power reserve of 40 hours once fully wound. Both the SEVENFRIDAY Beach Club P3c/10 in turquoise and SEVENFRIDAY P3c/12 in lipstick pink are configured on white calfskin leather strap that encloses against the wrist with a stainless steel fastening. As with all watches made by SEVENFRIDAY, these instruments come with an NFC chip embedded into the caseback that enables you to authenticate and register your watch using the SEVENFRIDAY app for iOS and Android devices.
