An In-depth Look at the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Bright Black & Golden Bright Watches
Friday - 07 July 2023
Ready for the summer, the new Connected Calibre E4 Smartwatches from TAG Heuer come clothed in an ultra-luxurious black and gold outfit crafted from stainless steel for the 42mm model, and lightweight titanium for the larger 45mm model
Earlier this year, we covered the black DLC-coated titanium Calibre E4 Connected watches from TAG Heuer. Each came in a sleek 45mm profile with red, orange and blue accents. The E4 versions of the Connected Smartwatch series were released over a year ago now and still remain the latest generation of Connected watches from the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based watchmaker. Distinguished by a new sporty, elegant style, the smartwatches came with eye-catching chronograph-inspired dials, new Sport activity features, an innovative Wellness app and two sizes to choose from – a redesigned 45mm model and an entirely new 42mm model. The recent design stood out for its smaller case size and slimmer bezel, not to mention a thinner case in general. Now it’s time to introduce the new TAG Heuer Connected E4 Gold & Black models, sporting an ultra-luxurious case. Let’s take a look…
The thinner bezels of the new 42mm models from the Connected E4 series make for a resolutely sleek finish on the wrist, whilst the 45mm option offers a rugged and sporty look. A sapphire crystal glass front is ultra-resistant from scratches and glare from artificial and natural light, with a high-definition screen that promises unmatched readability. Aside from the familiar apps and features of the Connected E4 smartwatch, you can also enjoy the added feature of displaying your NFT on your watch, transferring them to a different watch face when desired. The new Lens watch face is yet another way to completely customise your watch and also enables you to upload and display photos and images too.
The Connected E4 watches in 42 and 45mm sizes also feature larger crowns and redesigned push-pieces for a more ergonomic design. The 42mm new release is crafted from stainless steel with a luxurious rose gold and black DLC-coated aesthetic, whilst the 45mm model is crafted from a lightweight titanium with the same finish. A black rubber strap completes each model, creating a sleek yet sporty silhouette for the wrist. Let’s look at some of the key features of the new Black & Gold TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 watches, which will remain in the brand’s current catalogue of non-limited pieces.
TAG Heuer’s new Connected sports feature
As with the existing line of Connected Calibre E4 watches, these new TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatches enable you as the wearer to track your fitness routine, either by uploading your own personal workout and following it on-screen or by following a pre-programmable workout routine. You can tailor a workout to your personal needs by selecting a guided workout with lengths that can be pre-set.
A legible display and longer battery life
The design of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 watches is particularly suited to the great outdoors, just like the 2022 models, since their screens stay visible, even when used under direct sunlight. The strong contrast and high-fidelity colour composition of the OLED dials are combined with longer battery life, promising a 30% increase (for the 45mm version) in power length compared to previous generations.
An altimeter sensor
TAG experts equipped the Connected Calibre E4 45mm model with a new altimeter sensor last year, which can now work alongside pre-existing features like the heart rate monitor, GPS module, gyroscope, barometer, compass, NFC chip and, of course, the accelerometer. The addition of the new altimeter sensor enables better tracking of outdoor sports like running and cycling.
Nightstand
Take your Connected watch off at night and position it on the brand’s new nightstand, which glows discreetly during the darkest hours, displaying accurate time. This stand is not just purely for artistically mounting your watch as a focal point. It also acts as a power charging point for the watch. The full charging time for the smartwatch is 90 minutes, and a battery charging indicator is shown on the charging stand to let you know when the Connected Calibre E4 watch is ready to be worn again
