Its design will certainly appeal to those with a love for previous Khaki Navy watches, yet somehow these new releases manage to bring something totally new and different to the forefront too. Brand ambassador and world champion freediver, Pierre Frolla sports the new Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman watch on his wrist in recent promotional photos, flaunting its updated design language within a broad 46mm diameter. Make no mistake, these new Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman watches certainly pack a punch on the wrist with robust stainless steel case constructions and a highly legible dial.
The new variants of the Khaki Navy Frogman watch are incredibly eye-catching, to say the least. They carry a muscular presence on the wrist with clean and angular finishes that take the design to new heights of masculinity. The aggressive design of the watch is enhanced by several visual hallmarks. The gear-toothed unidirectional rotating bezel of the new Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman watch is tailored for effortlessly measuring elapsed time when exploring the underwater world and features either a black metal insert or a bare metal finish, topped with raised dive scale markings. The low profile crown guard protecting the crown at 3 o’clock on the case of each watch are clean and square, yet understated, whilst a black PVD coated finish across the entire design adds to the mystery and svelte-like feel of on of these new model from the Hamilton Khaki Navy line.
Two of the other variants feature a black dial and matching black unidirectional rotating bezel with either a black or Khaki rubber strap. The third option features the same black dial but with a metal bezel and a stainless steel bracelet. The most recent black PVD-coated Hamilton watch from the Khaki Navy Frogman collection is the one we’re looking at in more detail today. It measures a broad 46mm diameter. The blacked-out model with a black dial, matching black bezel and a black PVD-coated case finish features only a touch of colour on the dial, with a flash of orange seen in the trim of the minute hand and the second hand.
As one of the most technically capable marine watches, this Hamilton Frogman watch is engineered to promise reliability and accuracy on the wrist and features a uniquely shaped crown protector and a bezel that rotates only in the counterclockwise direction to ensure that the accidental extending of time whilst underwater is ruled out. Like its siblings, the black PVD-coated Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman watch is equipped with 300-meter water resistance and features a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective pane of sapphire crystal glass across the top of the dial. Without a date function, the Arabic numeral hour markers are the only added detailing to the simple dial layout of the Frogman watch.
The new models are all powered by the H-10 automatic movement that provides an impressive 80-hour power reserve, with exquisitely finished snailed and pearl decoration.
