Tissot Watch Ambassador Danica Patrick Makes Sprint Cup History

Tissot brand ambassador Danica Patrick has become the first woman to win a pole position in Sprint Cup history, posting a lap of 196.434 mph in the Daytona 500.

Speaking of her emotions following the race, Patrick said: "Pride. I'm proud of all the hard work that goes into making a pole car." Danica Patrick is the most successful woman in the history of America open-wheel racing. Aside from her latest success, she is the only woman to have won a race in the IndyCar Series, and holds the highest finish by a woman at the Indianapolis 500.

Patrick has been a Tissot ambassador since 2005. She is regularly featured in the brand's promotional material, and a limited edition Tissot T-Race watch was released in her honour in 2012.
"I have enjoyed an outstanding relationship with Tissot and am thrilled that the company is one of the major sponsors on our No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet," Patrick says. "I love the Tissot watches - they're sporty, sophisticated and have style. I am proud to be a Tissot ambassador."

The T-Race collection is inspired by racing and Tissot's passion for motor sports. The T-Race Danica Patrick 2012 features a white dial with diamonds marking each hour, a stainless steel case, ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal. The watch is powered by quartz movement and comes with a silicon strap.

A number of Tissot T-Race watches are available now to buy now at Jura Watches.
