Seiko has revealed two new limited edition watches in collaboration with 'Golgo 13', a Japanese manga comic series.
'Golgo 13' was created in 1969 and is extremely popular in Japan. The story revolves around a professional assassin for hire, and it is the longest running manga in production. The manga has sold over 200 million copies in various formats, and has been adapted into two live-action and two animated films, a television series and five video games.
The new timepieces will be added to the existing Golgo 13 collection, joining two limited edition digital watches that were released by Seiko earlier in the year.
The Seiko Sea Golgo 13 LE offers water resistance to 300 metres. It has a 47 mm stainless steel hard coated black case, and a Hardlex crystal. Movement is the Japanese quartz Seiko in-house calibre 7C46 with 7 jewels.
The Seiko Land Golgo 13 LE also has a stainless steel hard coated black case measuring 47 mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is equipped with Japanese automatic Seiko in-house calibre 6R15 movement, with 23 jewels, 21,600 kph and a power reserve of 50 hours. The watch is water resistant to 200 metres.
Both models are limited to 500 pieces each and feature 'Golgo 13' engravings on the case back.
