Casio Edifice Red Bull Edition Watch Review

F1 driver Mark Webber launched the new Casio Edifice Red Bull Racing Edition watch ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix 2012.

Casio has been an official partner of Red Bull Racing since 2009, believing that the team's use of technology, youthful image and the energy is a perfect match for the 'speed and intelligence' ethos of Edifice watches. This new timepiece celebrates the Red Bull Racing team's success, winning the Formula One Constructors’ Championships and Drivers’ Championships in both 2010 and 2011.
Mark Webber said: "I’ve always liked the Edifice watches – their functionality is useful when I’m cycling and travelling overseas to Formula One events. This latest Red Bull Racing edition looks the business and I will be wearing it during the forthcoming season."

The new EFR-520RB timepiece features the trademark red, blue and yellow colours of Red Bull Racing on the hands, side buttons and dial details. Functions include a 1/20-second stopwatch, date display and tachymeter, and the watch has a 3D disc chronograph and ion plated bezel. There is a disc-shaped indicator at the 12 o'clock position, that rotates at a high speed during stopwatch mode to ensure precise timing. It is water resistant to 100 metres, and the Red Bull Racing team logo is prominently displayed on the dial.

The timepiece is presented in a special box that includes a display stand and photographs of the Red Bull Racing team.
"The development of the new Casio Edifice Red Bull Racing watch is a continuation of the great working relationship that has been forged between Red Bull Racing and Casio since 2009, and which was strengthened by the contract renewal earlier this year," said Kai-Christian Helms, Casio Europe's Marketing Manager. “Red Bull Racing’s continual stand-out performances within the world of Formula 1 have provided us with the ideal inspiration for this time-piece, which we believe perfectly reflects the team’s energy and excellence.”
