Accurist Watches Save GMT Campaign Review
Wednesday - 15 February 2012
Accurist has started a campaign to Save GMT fighting to ensure that the UK does not adopt Central European Time.
The proposal would put an end to Greenwich Mean Time and move towards a standard time set by the atomic clocks at the International Telecommunications Union in Geneva.
Defending the role of GMT Accurist notes that the moment the sun passes its highest point at Londons Greenwich has been used to set timepieces all over the world for a hundred years.
Accurist is encouraging people to join the Facebook page Save GMT and will pass on messages of support to David Willets Minister of State for Universities and Science.
