Antarctica Researcher Wears Ball Watch Company Watch
Wednesday - 15 February 2012
A senior researcher has carried out research in Antractica wearing a Ball Watch Company watch the brand has reported.
Richard Limeburner deployed the first real-time instruments under the Ross Ice Shelf with satellite telemetry. He used a Ball Watch Engineer Hydrocarbon alligator to support timings.
The Ball Watch Company watch was attached to specialist equipment and lowered under the Ross Ice Shelf deeper than 800 metres. There was no damage or leakage whatsoever to the watch.
You can watch a video about the research using the watch here.
