Watches Look Professional Say Executives
Wednesday - 15 February 2012
Six in ten executives say that wearing a watch to work is an important part of looking professional according to a new survey from recruitment site TheLadders.co.uk.
Although some say that mobile phones are overtaking wristwatches as the timekeeping device of choice the research suggests otherwise. Over half (56%) of the executives surveyed said they wear a watch to meetings to keep an eye on the time and 69% said they prefer using a watch to a mobile phone to manage their time. Just under nine in ten senior managers said taking a mobile into a meeting showed a lack of professionalism.
Over half (52%) of those surveyed said that they have two or more watches especially for work whilst the remainder said they had one work watch.
