After more than three months away, their boat, Virbac-Paprec 3, crossed the finish line of the Barcelona World Race in Barcelona. The pair had set off on New Year’s Eve 2010 and their total race time was 93 days, 22 hours, 20 minutes, and 36 seconds.
The course passed three capes: Good Hope, Leeuwin, and Horn, as well as the Cook Strait. In 2005, the two sailors won the Transat Jacques Vabre together.
Corum watch ambassador Loick Peyron said: “A regatta around the world is not common, it is a great story. It was a fantastic experience and it is a fabulous feeling to finish and finish so well. It is difficult to describe the victory; a magic moment, unique and full of emotion.”
He added: Is it not the first time a Corum watch raced around the world?
