Jorg Gray Watches Into a New Market

A young and vibrant brand, Jorg Gray is making inroads in expanding markets worldwide. Specifically, the American company has come to an agreement with distribution company Polat A.S. Its pieces will now be available throughout Turkey at high-end retailers. These will include Edip Saat and Konyali Kol.Sti amongst others. It appears that the entire Jorg Gray collection will be available for purchase. Prices will range from 500 to 3,000 Turkish Lira (between USD $350 and $2,200).

Retailers in Turkey have continually looked to Polat A.S. to bring in a collection of premium pieces from around the world. The inclusion of Jorg Gray improves the selection available to consumers. The President of Polat A.S., Varujan Polat, had high praise for Jorg Gray, referring to them as a “globally recognised,” and calling their watches nothing short of “stunning.” He maintained that injecting the brand into their line-up will help the distributor continue to drive sales.

Trevor Gnesin, the President of Jorg Gray, also commented on the deal. He helped contextualise the move as part of the larger strategy for the brand. Jorg Gray is continually expanding its global reach, opening stores around the world. The Eurasian market is just the latest to come online. Yet Gnesin maintained that while the company undergoes this transformation, it won’t sacrifice its focus and passion for creating high-quality, stylish pieces. Jorg Gray’s claim that its watches fit “every style and personality” certainly seems supported in light of Turkey’s opening. After all, this is the brand that markets a watch worn by the President of the United States himself. The fact that everyday people in Istanbul can avail themselves of the same timepiece is indeed remarkable.

With this bit of recent news, there’s certainly reason to celebrate over at Jorg Gray. Their representation in emerging markets is an excellent indicator of a strong brand.
