Glycine Magnificent Airman World Traveler Watch Review
Tuesday - 26 May 2015
Glycine present the magnificent Airman World Traveler - a result of working in close cooperation with pilots of civil and military aviation.
The model can be traced back to the Quartz generation of Glycine Airman in the seventies and eighties. The new, contemporary edition hosts an accurate Swiss quartz movement protected by the robust high grade steel case. Featuring a revolving notched bezel, which is engraved with the names of major 24 cities worldwide earning the apt title of World Traveler.
The masculine yet elegant collection is available in three dial variants; midnight blue degrade, black and beige. A dial with a 42 mm diameter allows for the time to be read clearly. The beige dial embraces subtle grey markings whereas the alternative shades opt for a sophisticated silver colour to contrast against the darker dial pigment. The calf leather strap fastens comfortably around the wrist in a shade that compliments the dial beautifully. To ensure readability the indexes and hands are luminous in restricted lighting with the assistance of Super Luminova coating. Positioned at 3 o’clock is the date display that allows for global travellers to keep an eye on the exact date. Peer through the domed sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating at the beautifully considered dial.
Glycine are dedicated in bringing exquisite timepieces that indulge in multi time zones for aviation professionals and frequent adventurers who seek constant travel. The pioneers create innovative techniques and contemporary ideals in a beautifully crafted, high quality instrument; the elegance and style is never compromised!
