Nomos Glashütte Orion 1989 Watch Review

Nomos Glashütte is celebrating 25 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall with the launch of its new Orion 1989 watch.

The Nomos watchmakers wanted to pay tribute to the way times have changed in Germany in the last 25 years. "We craft watches here according to the most modern standards," saidUwe Ahrendt, Nomos Glashütte CEO. "Watches that are so good that they cannot be improved on. East there, West here: There is nowhere better in the world to produce fine timepieces than here in Glashütte, with a long tradition of skilled craftsmanship."

The special edition Nomos Glashütte Orion 1989 has a stainless steel case available in two sizes: 33 mm and 38 mm. It has curved sapphire crystal glass and a galvanised "November grey" dial with golden indexes and hands. The watch is powered by the Nomos calibre Alpha, displayed through the sapphire crystal case back, and comes with dark grey velour strap.
