"Naturally we’re thrilled to partner with the VR|46 brand and start a very progressive relationship," said TW Steel CEO and co-owner, Jordy Cobelens. "The VR|46 brand is a further extension of Valentino Rossi’s values and his lifestyle choices. Having been exposed to that directly via our partnership with Movistar Yamaha MotoGP, we knew we wanted to work directly with VR|46 through the production of these new watch collections. There’s truly going to be something for everyone. The TW Steel VR|46 / Yamaha Factory Racing collection appeals to the consumer looking for a high-end and distinctive timepiece, based on our DNA of offering affordable luxury."
The TW Steel VR|46 Yamaha Factory Racing collection is made up of three watches: two Pilot models and a Tech model.
The two Pilot watches are powered by the Miyota 6S20 big calibre movement and have a bold steel case with a PVD dark titanium coating. One has a 48 mm case diameter, while the other measures 45 mm. Each bezel has a PVD dark titanium shine finish, and blue and yellow accents on the dial highlight the collaboration with VR|46. The Yamaha Factory Racing and VR|46 logos appear on the case back, and the VR|46 can be seen on the grey silicon strap.
The Tech model has a 48 mm steel case with a sandblasted PVD black coating and a carbon fibre black dial with raised steel indexes. The steel pillars on the case are designed to resemble shock absorbers. The watch comes with a black silicon strap and is also powered by the Miyota 6SS0 movement.
