Wednesday - 09 March 2016
To be a master of ones craft is to meet the highest of standards and expectations through choice of material, exact precision and exceptional quality. A unity of knowledge, understanding and experience. In an exciting new project Sinn Watches joins three masters of trade to proudly mark their 55th anniversary in the watchmaking industry. The chosen trio are Uhren-Werke-Dresden (UWD), Sachsische Uhrentechnologie GmbH Glashutte (SUG) and of course, the Sinn Spezialuhren. The result? An exquisite masterpiece that boasts an 18-carat rose gold frame and houses the new hand-wound calibre UWD 33.1. Let us introduce to you the beautiful 6200 Meisterbund I; the first of its kind that will be launched at Baselworld 2016.
Manufactured to a limitation of 55 is a tribute to their length of time in the watchmaking industry and is stylishly engraved on the case back. The collaboration has witnessed an incredible trained eye for detail, valuable experience, skilled expertise and shared values each taking a unique role with pride and honour. SUG embraced the manufacturing of the case, whilst Sinn concentrated on the face design and UWD was responsible for the UWD 33.1; a high quality calibre that has carefully been developed over time and is ready to be unveiled to the world. Are you ready? All components of the 6200 Meiserbund 1 has been crafted in Germany itself showcasing the engineers technical capabilities and the craftsman design skills.
The UWD 33.1 calibre is manufactured in nickel silver with a high-quality finish. The plates and cocks have matte, diamond-planed edges, which implies excellent quality and the exquisite feel is cemented by the matte and polished surfaces. The flying spring barrel provides a 55-hour power reserve - another nod to the remarkable 55th anniversary of Sinn Watches. The beautiful, luxurious case frames the guilloche dial design, which is silver electroplated and embellished with set appliques. The 33 mm diameter of the innovative movement fits effortlessly into the 40mm case and confirms their watchmaking sophistication.
The formula of bringing three masters of their craft together ensures that a fine instrument of precision, quality and innovation has been born. The 6200 Meisterbund I is an example of traditional watchmaking at its finest; an exquisite masterpiece that breeds beauty, splendour and grandeur. A magnificent blend that could only be achieved by masters of their trade!
