Graham Chronofighter Oversize Superlight Baja 1000 Limited Edition Watch Review

Graham has unveiled a new limited edition watch in celebration of its role as Official Timekeeper of the 2013 Tecate Score Baja 1000 off-road desert race.
The Graham Chronofighter Oversize Superlight Baja 1000 will be worn by enthusiasts at the race in Ensenada, Mexico. More than 350 competitors from 30 US states and a dozen countries will race along the gruelling desert track in front of nearly 200,000 spectators.
"Little more than half of the racers will finish this incredible test of man and machine, where mechanical failures and vehicle flip-overs are all par for the course," the luxury watch brand explains. "That is why Graham had to create a limited edition watch to celebrate these adventure racers and thrill seekers."

The limited edition Chronofighter Oversize Superlight Baja 1000 is "dedicated to speed, adrenaline and advanced technology". The watch, with its black ceramic bezel and 47 mm Superlight black carbon nanotube composite case, weighs less an 100g. It has a start and stop lever made from a unique piece of carbon, providing more stiffness and enhanced usability. The beige lacquered dial features snailed beige hours and black minutes counters.
The watch is powered by the calibre G1747 automatic self-winding chronograph movement, with Incabloc shock absorber and 48 hours power reserve. It has a tachymeter scale to facilitate the measurement of speed, and a reversed minutes counter with a beige painted indicator to show the starting point. The domed sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating on both faces, and it has a smoked sapphire crystal case back.
The timepiece comes with an integrated beige rubber strap with 'Clous de Paris' decoration and is limited to 200 pieces.
