This is the world's first and only mechanical alarm. B-42 Flieger Chronograph Alarm is a limited edition timepiece that is equipped with Swiss-made F 2001-5 automatic calibre that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 35 bearing jewels. The movement is certified by Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronométres (COSC) – the Swiss institute that tests chronometers. Other characteristics include Incabloc shock absorber and two barrels. Hands, numerals and indices are covered with luminous paint that enhances night time readability. A date display is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark. The chronograph has a 60-second, a 30-minute and a 12-hour register. Additional useful features include alarm on/off indicator, flange with alarm scale, pusher protection, crown with the Fortis logo, see-through case back and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
