Since its release in 2016, the Maurice Lacroix Aikon collection has remained one of the brand’s most important lines inspired by an iconic timepiece from the Swiss watch manufacturer’s history. The Calypso, a sporty, quartz watch from the 1990’s was pivotal to the brand’s early success and found itself widely popular with trendsetting, style conscious gentlemen looking for luxury aesthetic and high precision movements. The stunning centrepiece dial of the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Green Limited Edition is designed in Clous de Paris style, a traditional embossing technique that results in small, square knobs encompassing the face delivering an exquisite texture and finish. White Superluminova treated hands and rhodium plated indexes provide optimal legibility in all lighting while the addition of the sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment assists further with readability and provides unbeatable scratch resistance.
Measuring to 42mm in size, the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Green Limited Edition is presented in stunning stainless steel and features the iconic Aikon six-arm fixed bezel, a screw in crown and a breathtaking integrated stainless steel bracelet with butterfly clasp. The 200 metre water resistant case houses the ML115 automatic winding movement, a Swiss made calibre based on the legendary Sellita SW200-1, and delivers central hands for hours, minutes and seconds, a date window at 3 o’ clock and a power reserve of 38 hours. Through the sapphire crystal case back, you can witness the sun brushed rotor decorated in vertical Côtes de Genève.
