MeisterSinger has won a Good Design Award for its Singular timepiece.
The prestigious Good Design Awards are organised annually by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, in cooperation with the European for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. To be chosen for an award, products must be deemed to enrich society and people's lives through its design.
The MeisterSinger Singular - the chronograph version of the brand's single-hand timepieces - was selected in the Good Design 'Personal' category.
The Singular indicates the hours and minutes with just one hand, as the dial is divided into 144 markers, each representing an interval of five minutes. The watch also has a delicate seconds hand and a 30-minute sub dial. It has a 43 mm steel case with sapphire crystal and a transparent case back, and is powered by Valjoux 7750 automatic movement.
MeisterSinger has won two previous Good Design awards: the MeisterSinger No.3 was recognised in 2007, while the Perigraph and Singulator both received the prize in 2009.
