Longines Watch Celebrates A Ground Breaking Moment in Horseracing History

Longines presents the owners, trainer and jockey of American Pharoah with timepieces from the luxury brands Conquest Classic collection to celebrate the superb win at Belmont Stakes.

American Pharoah’s victory ensured that the Triple Crown was secured setting a moment of phenomenal horseracing history. His ground breaking race, which began with an incredibly quick start cementing the pace to earn first pace will be remembered by horseracing enthusiasts worldwide. The trio of successful runs has only been realised a dozen of times previously, which puts American Pharoah in the limelight for his outstanding achievement. Longines were truly honoured to time his success at all three races; their appreciation was demonstrated by presenting the influential individuals with the Longines Conquest Classic collection after each race. Without their involvement, hard work and determination American Pharoah will not have raced to victory at the three events. In addition, Jennifer Judkins, U.S Brand President for Longines, generously presented Zagat Stables (owner), Bob Baffert (Trainer) and Victor Espinoza (Jockey) with the exquisite, rose gold Conquest Classic watch

The winner of the second annual Longines Most Elegant Woman at Belmont event received a stainless steel and rose gold watch from the Conquest Classic Collection featuring a stunning diamond bezel. The fashion catwalk contest is judged via celebrities who assess the chic women of Belmont choosing the lady who oozes elegance and sophistication. The final watch presentation was awarded to Tepin’s owner, trainer and jockey of the “Longines Just a Game” race.

Those who follow the brand will have shared Longines’ passion for equestrian sport, which was ignited in 1878 with the first engraved chronograph displaying a jockey and his horse. The model experienced the excitement of the racetracks 3 years later allowing for jockeys and horse-lovers to connect with the brand for it’s precision when timing performances to the exact second.
