This Grand Seiko Spring Drive Limited Edition watch celebrates the 20th anniversary of the famous Spring Drive movement with a fantastic hand carved platinum case. In 1977, a young Seiko engineer known as Yoshikazu Akahane had the dream to create a watch with a 1 second per day accuracy, something that only the finest electronic watches could deliver. It took him 27 years and over 600 prototypes, but eventually the Grand Seiko Spring Drive watch collection was born, and its success was guaranteed.
This Grand Seiko Elegance Platinum Limited Edition watch boasts the 9R02 Spring Drive movement which uses the unique Torque Return System and promises a power reserve of 84 hours. The aspiration for a +/- 1 second per day accuracy continues to be upheld in this stunning Grand Seiko Elegance Spring Drive watch which also showcases a 38.5mm platinum case, dual curved sapphire crystal glass and a breathtaking silver Snowflake dial inspired by the beauty of the snow in the Shinshu region. The dial is also decorated with multi-faceted hour and minute hands, a blue steel seconds hand and the famous Grand Seiko logo centre stage. When the timepiece is not fastened to your wrist by the luxurious black alligator leather strap and three fold clasp, you can admire the handcrafted Japanese automatic calibre through the exhibition case back alongside the limited edition serial number.
