This stunning Baume et Mercier Clifton Club Burt Munro Tribute watch pays tribute to legend Burt Munro and the icon that is the Indian Motorcycle Company. In particular, this limited edition watch of 1967 pieces celebrates 50 years since Burt Munro set the under 1,000cc world speed record of 184.087mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967. The record was set on a 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle that Burt Munro famously spent 20 years modifying himself.

It’s impossible to miss the many design features that have been included in the aesthetic of this Baume et Mercier Clifton Club Burt Munro Tribute watch to honour the motorcyclist. The white sandblasted finish of the dial recalls the salt flats of Bonneville while the record number 184 is highlighted on the tachymeter scale bezel. The theme continues with Munro’s lucky number 35 taking a prominent spot in the 9 o clock sub-dial while the stylised chronograph seconds hand is a tribute to the Indian Motorcycle logo. The gorgeous dark red calfskin leather strap added to Baume et Mercier Clifton Club Burt Munro Tribute Limited Edition has also been chosen to match the colour of the icon’s bike. Measuring to 44mm, the stainless steel case back is beautifully engraved with the Indian Motorcycle logo and the year 1901 for when the company was founded. Hidden within is the impressive Valjoux 7750 self winding movement which boasts a power reserve of 48 hours and provides incredible chronograph function.
