History of Bremont Watches
Bremont Watches - The Bremont Watch Company was named after a chance encounter over the fields of France. In the late 1990, Nick and Giles English were out flying in the old faithful biplane built in the 1930’s when a misfiring engine forced them to take an unscheduled landing.
To hide from the French authorities the brothers were very pleased to take the help from a local farmer whose field they had landed in. They hid the aircraft in a barn and stayed in the farmers’ house where they learned that the farmer had flown aircraft during the war.
The farmer was also a gifted engineer and half restored clocks where everywhere alongside many engine parts. The brothers promised the farmer that his help and hospitality would never be forget. His name was Antoine Bremont.
They eventually set up a up a small workshop in Switzerland to follow their dream of developing luxury specialist watches. After a few years of building and stringent testing the very first Bremont watches were released.
Today they continue their passion for mechanical devices and engineering excellence, of course flying is still a massive inspiration for the family and the Bremont Company.
Although Bremont watches have strong ties with the well-known Swiss luxury watch industry, Bremont has always had a strong ambition to rejuvenate the British watchmaking industry and is now assembling its watches in Henley-on-Thames, England.
Today JuraWatches.co.uk has a very strong relationship with the famous Bremont watches brand and is an authorised sales outlet for the brand.
To maintain the Bremont Watches ties to aviation and excellence in engineering, Bremont is about to release a brand new watch in conjunction with the famous airline name, Boeing.
