Just Landed: The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Green Watch

The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 watch gets a rich sunray green fume dial with crisp luminous hour markers that are easy to read whether taking to the water or wearing it as a statement piece in the evening.

The Aquaracer watch by TAG Heuer has so many advantages. The sporty diving watch is a no-brainer for anyone looking for a robust tool for adventures on dry land or underwater. The range incorporates models that promise a water resistance of up to 500 meters, whilst the limited edition watches from this series are highly collectable amongst enthusiasts. You can’t describe the Aquaracer watch without mentioning qualities of functionality, robustness and sportiness. The tools from the collection range from simple three-handed models to chronograph complications. Each model is fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel that enables you as the wearer to measure elapsed time underwater. Most versions promise a useful water resistance of 300 meters, yet some iterations offer higher ratings. Other features include a robust stainless steel case, a simple dial with luminous markings, an equally hardy stainless steel bracelet, and a screw-down crown.

In 2021, the Aquaracer line was refurbished to accommodate a new series of timepieces named the Professional. The models were each equipped with the Calibre 5. The dials boasted an instantly recognizable horizontal surface pattern. The bezels were enhanced for easy-grip purposes and the crown was made extra resistant to damage with the date at 6 o’clock that was magnified under a cyclops lens. From lug to lug, the entire design of this luxury dive watch was intended for stamina and endurance underwater and has proved popular ever since. With several iterations in the series including the Professional 200, 300, 1000 and 300 Night Diver watches, it’s clear to see that TAG Heuer shows no signs of slowing the collection down. Last year a new GMT complication was implemented into the range, appealing to an even more diverse range of fans. Now, TAG Heuer has released this striking deep green dial for its Professional 200 series. Let’s take a closer look…

The new green TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 watch

Last year, TAG Heuer released an Aquaracer Professional 300 watch in a seaweed-green colour. Its stunning complexion enhanced some key differences that have enabled the Aquaracer watch to evolve and transition so gracefully into the Professional line. The ribbed lines stretching horizontally across the dial were wider, the trapezoid indexes had been accompanied by octagonal ones, and the date display had moved to the 6 o’clock location. The stunning green colour added yet another attractive shade to the diverse line of diver’s watches and was crafted from lightweight grade 2 titanium with a matching green diver’s bezel. The new green version of the Aquaracer line, however, is the steel-crafted Professional 200 watch. It boasts a richer green dial that is framed by a unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel crafted from steel. The 60-minute markings are legible and crisp and can be gripped easily under a wetsuit thanks to a toothed finish on the edges. The same horizontal pattern across the surface of the dial is still present, accommodating the TAG Heuer lettering perfectly. These details are balanced by the “Automatic 200m” lettering at the southern hemisphere of the dial. Sharp trapezoid indexes that are beautifully faceted have been treated with Super-LumiNova and catch the light effortlessly during the daytime. The dial also features chunky legible Super-LumiNova-coated central hour and minute hands. A detailed white minute track around the edge of the dial frames a black-filled date window at 6 o’clock and all features on the sunray green dial are protected by a strong piece of anti-reflective and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass.

The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Green watch reference WBP2115.BA0627 measures a 40mm diameter and is crafted from stainless steel with a mix of polished and brushed elements to its design that add a sense of depth and rugged sportiness. The watch, as its name suggests, is water resistant to 200 meters and features a bezel that will align perfectly with the minute hand on the dial to measure elapsed time underwater. The intense green dial of the watch is smoky and adds a whole new dimension to timekeeping. The design is described by TAG Heuer experts as “life-proof” and features a screw-down crown at 3 o’clock that helps the watch to uphold its impressive water resistance. The crown has been stamped with the iconic TAG Heuer logo upon its surface, whilst the caseback itself has received another special engraving. Its smooth steel surface boasts an engraving of a compass star.

Inside the case of the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Green watch is the Calibre 5 Automatic movement. It was implemented into the revamped Professional watches back in 2021 and performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a power reserve of 38 hours once fully wound. To complete its robust and dive-ready look, the new green TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 watch is fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with brushed and polished finishes and a folding clasp with a double security fastening.
