A new green-coloured quartz-powered Scuba watch joins the Khaki Navy series by Hamilton, complete with a unidirectional rotating bezel and luminous 24-hour scale for assisting with any challenge
If you follow Hamilton watches closely, you’ll know that the brand categorises its huge Khaki watch collection into three sub-categories; the Khaki Field, the Khaki Navy and the Khaki Aviation. The Khaki Navy is aimed at sports enthusiasts as well as keen divers with its designs based on navy watches from the 1940s. One of the latest Hamilton watches to join the Khaki Navy Scuba line is the reference H82241961 – a quartz-powered model that marks the first 15 minutes of dive time on its bezel via a black aluminium filling. Its moss-green aesthetic is in line with some of the camouflage-inspired models from the series, yet it is the matching deep green NATO-style strap that completes the look of this versatile Scuba Quartz model. The watch is crafted from stainless steel and measures a width of 37mm, constituting very manageable proportions. It sits at a height of 10.7mm and features a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass front. The back of the watch is screwed down to conceal a Swiss-made quartz movement ticking away inside. The case is also 100-meter water resistant to ensure a dry environment for the quartz movement to operate within.
With an aesthetic that remains true to the popular Khaki Navy design, the Scuba Quartz watch for men reference H82241961 still evokes a military-inspired feel and features a legible 24-hour track that resides towards the centre of the display. This additional time scale is accompanied by trapezoid and circular hour markers that are visibly chunky and treated with lashings of Super-LumiNova.
