Recognised as the master of chronographs, Breitling live up to their impressive reputation with the launch of their own split-seconds timepiece. With precision, sturdiness and reliability in mind, the Manufacture Breitling Caliber B03 boasts an innovative construction well suited to target professionals. Housed in their most iconic model, the legendary Navitimer, steps up to the challenge with the exquisite 18 red carat gold case and a superb bronze dial. Breitling have pulled out all the stops to celebrate the technical breakthrough.

Limited to 250 pieces, the Navitimer Rattrapante Limited Edition takes the name from the French word ‘rattraper’ translated as to ‘catch up’ - an apt title for the mechanism developed and designed in-house. Known as one of the hardest watchmaking mechanisms, the calibre allows for the chronograph to measure two separate intervals of time. Breitling have taken an innovative approach to the challenge guaranteeing an exceptional performance in the most effective way. After several years of research and tests, the engineers developed two patented concepts that have shortened the lengthy, complicated process with a much simpler, more reliable solution.

The extraordinary bronze dial welcomes the silver-toned counters and inner bezel reflecting the signature style of the classic Navitimer since 1952. The two seconds hands feature the beautiful Breitling logo with the fine red chronograph hand embracing the capital B and the red gold split-seconds hand boasting the stunning anchor. The two parts of the emblem are separated when the split-seconds hand is stopped before reforming the brand’s logo when the hands are overlaid. The crown at 3 o’clock allows for the wearer to control the split-seconds function stopping and starting the split-seconds hand as desired.

Breitling have successfully kept the spirit of a technical watchmaking complication alive in a digital age. The dedication to classic timekeeping is inspirational bringing the concept into a contemporary world without loosing the beauty of tradition.
