Squale Galeazzi Artiglio – Limited Edition Dive Watch

Five years after their first collaboration, Squale and DRASS Galeazzi return with the second chapter of their partnership: the Squale Galeazzi Artiglio, celebrating 100 years since Roberto Galeazzi’s patent for the spherical structure — the innovation that, in 1932, enabled the celebrated recovery of gold bullion from the wreck of the SS Egypt, lying some 130 metres deep in the English Channel.

Presented in a 39.5mm brushed 316L stainless steel case with polished bevels, this timepiece revives the Wet Indicator, an internal humidity-detection disc integrated into the Pantone 295U blue dial that signals any water ingress by a change of colour — a safeguard drawn from the earliest professional diving watches. The DRASS Galeazzi diving helmet emblem is screen-printed onto the underside of the flat sapphire crystal, creating a striking floating effect above the dial.

Powered by the automatic ETA 2824-2 movement with a 42-hour power reserve, the watch is water-resistant to 600 metres, with a screw-down crown and case back, the latter engraved with the DRASS Galeazzi emblem. It is presented on a sand-coloured microfibre strap, with a second mosaic-pattern rubber strap included, both housed within a bespoke presentation box featuring a canvas travel pouch and a commemorative bronze medal.
