Powered by a carefully developed in house movement and presenting the time on a purist dial, IWC Schaffhausen has developed this Portofino watch in line with the rest of the collection, which takes inspiration from the Italian fishing village. Its 34mm steel case is dainty and compact for the elegant lady’s wrist. Gold Roman numerals combine with stick indexes around the hour track and feuille shaped hands. At each hour marker is a scintillating round brilliant cut diamond, which catches the light playfully as the wrist moves.
All elements on the dial are protected underneath an anti reflective and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass lens. A dark brown alligator leather strap comes integrated with IWC Schaffhausen’s “quick change system, enabling the wearer to alternate this lady’s Portofino watch with a bracelet option without needing any tools. Inside the watch’s 30 meter water resistant stainless steel case lies the Calibre 35111, performing at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing a useful 42 hour power reserve. A classic, beautifully proportioned Portofino watch based on design elements from the original Lepine watch, fused with 21st century watchmaking.
