First launched in 1973, the Riviera was designed to embody the refined and elegant lifestyle of the south east French coast of the same name and at the time of its release, it broke the boundaries of traditional watch design characterised by a twelve sided bezel and integrated strap. This striking silhouette returns in this Baume et Mercier Riviera Mens watch home to the Swiss made Sellita SW200 automatic winding calibre with a power reserve of 38 hours.
Returning to the aesthetics of its 1970’s predecessor, this Baume et Mercier Riviera Mens watch is dressed in classic stainless steel and incorporates the iconic dodecagonal bezel decorated with four screws and an integrated green rubber strap. It’s 42mm diameter is also home to a unique textured green dial which is designed to symbolise the convergence of the mountains and the ocean. Around its circumference the dial showcases large applied indexes and Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock and a date aperture at 3 o’clock while at the centre, the Swiss mechanical movement ensures optimal precision of Superluminova rhodium plated hour and minute hands and a slender seconds hand. The Baume et Mercier Riviera Baumatic watch also delivers a 100 metre water resistance rating, an exhibition case back and an adjustable folding buckle with security push pieces.
