Bremont Project Possible Limited Edition Watch Review

While many of us are stuck inside with little to do, Bremont have been captivating us all with some stunning new releases like the magnificent Bremont Project Possible watch. The limited edition will be launched next month to commemorate the ultimate mountaineering feat which saw Nirmal “Nims” Purja MBE take his place in history. On October 29th 2019, Nims completed the Bremont Project Possible challenge where he reached the summit of all 14 of the earth’s tallest mountains in less than for months – something truly remarkable, especially when compared to the previous record of nearly 8 years.

Nim’s focus, determination and unwavering self-belief has been utterly inspiring and having him test our watches in these extreme environments speaks to the core of what Bremont has always been about”. - Nick Giles, Bremont Co-Founder

As well as smashing the previous record and breaking another 6 world records in the progress, Nims proved himself the ultimate Bremont ambassador as he embodies the very values of braveness, determination and resistance that the British manufacturer has long stood for. During the mission, he also wore and tested several Bremont watches on his wrist proving once and for all that these luxury timepieces can withstand some of the harshest environments on the planet.

The Bremont Project Possible Limited Edition watch is a must-have for anyone who appreciates fine craftsmanship, technical prowess and of course, adrenaline-filled adventure. The design is based on the brand’s iconic Supermarine S500 watch but features some new features that we have never seen before. The most noticeable is the addition of a new bronze unidirectional rotating bezel crafted from bronze alloy Cusn8. This stunning alloy not only looks the part but is known for being superior in its strength and resistance to corrosion – two of the many reasons the material has a long history of being used in diving helmets.

The Superluminova treated bezel is paired with a striking 43mm aviation grade Ti 6-4 titanium case and a scratch resistant DLC treated case barrel. Turning the watch over reveals a gorgeous celebration of Nims’ achievement with the aviation-grade Ti 6-4 titanium open case back detailed with the height of all 14 peaks he reached in the order that he summitted them. The case of the Bremont Project Possible watch also comes equipped with a protected patented anti-shock movement mount, crown protected and an automatic helium escape valve to assists in its water resistant rating of 500 metres.

Housed above domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass is a stunning dark blue metal dial imprinted with the image of a mountain and complimented by the Project Possible logo, gold plated applied indexes and gold plated hands decorated with Superluminova for easy legibility in the dark. Powering the central hands for hours, minutes, second and GMT function and date window at 3 o clock is the BE-93-2AE automatic winding movement. The COSC certified calibre promises an accuracy of 4 to +6 seconds a day, a power reserve of 42 hours, 28,800vph and comes adorned with 21 jewels.

Expected to be released early next month, the Bremont Project Possible Limited Edition is exactly what we all deserve while stuck in quarantine or bravely out there keeping the country running. With only 300 pieces being released, we have no doubt that it will be a quick seller so we highly recommend you place a pre-order for one as soon as you can.
