Hamilton Watch Supports Nastri d’Argento Movie Awards

As the official partner of the Nastri d’Argento, the oldest movie award in Europe, Hamilton presented a specially engraved watch to the winner of its new 'Hamilton Behind the Camera Award' at the 2013 event.
The 67th annual Nastri d’Argento was held in Taormina, Sicily, on July 6th 2013. Each year the prestigious awards are assigned by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists, celebrating success and talent in the Italian film industry. This year's award winners include Aniello Arena for 'Best Actor', and Giuseppe Tornatore for the 'Director of Best Film' prize.
The new 'Hamilton Behind the Camera Award' was presented to actor Alessandro Gassman for the movie 'Razzabastarda', with which he made his direction debut. Gassman was presented with a personalised Hamilton watch in honour of his achievement, featuring an engraving of his name and title of the film.
Hamilton is heavily involved in the film industry, with watches making regular appearances in popular films. The luxury watch brand also hosts its own Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards ceremony in Hollywood each year, celebrating "the highly creative work carried out behind the scenes to make a movie successful, whether it is screenwriting or the demanding work of the prop-master or costume designer."
