Jaeger-LeCoultre Watches Creates Animated Advent Calendar

Ahead of its 180th anniversary in 2013, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created an animated video 'Advent calendar' that explores the brand's history.

The animation, titled 'Season's Greetings 2013', is available to watch on YouTube. Beginning in 1833, the video displays a variety of images representing key points in the history of Jaeger-LeCoultre, including the famous millionmètre, pocket watches, and the first calibres with grand complications.

"The spectator embarks on a magical watchmaking journey through time," the brand says. "A date, an invention, and an icon reveal all the creativity and technical expertise of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre since 1833, in the unique location of the Vallée de Joux."

The Advent Calendar is designed to "celebrate 180 years of history and a New Year that is sure to be very eventful for Jaeger-LeCoultre." The milestones can also be explored through a dedicated application on the brand's Facebook page.
