Bell & Ross Vintage WW1 Edicion Limitada Watch Review

The Bell & Ross Vintage WW1 Edicion Limitada captures the concept of enjoying exceptional moments in life.

Bell & Ross appreciates that when life is moving so quickly and individuals are pre-occupied with enjoying their life time is usually forgotten. Therefore, the luxury brand has created a timepiece that houses a movement with a large power reserve that can last for up to five days of operation due to the manual winding mechanism with a double barrel. The wearer is able to monitor how many days  remain until the watch needs winding via an arc present on the dial between the 4 and 6 markings. The hand travels slowly across the curve, which is inscribed with the words “reserva de march 5 dias.” The Vintage WW1 Edicion Limitada enables those with hectic and complicated lifestyles to savour time; a refreshing and beautiful concept to take a breather from time moving rapidly.

The exquisite aesthetic is enhanced by the sophisticated colour combination. The brown curved dial contrasts elegantly against the gold numbers, markings, branding and hands. The dial is framed by a shiny gold casing and lugs, which are attached to a classic brown alligator strap fastened with a buckle pin made in 18 ct red gold. At 9 o’clock the balance is exposed for a unique and exquisite aspect of the timepiece. The beautiful mechanism is admired through an ultra-curved high-dome sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

In addition, to the savouring of time influence the Bell & Ross Vintage WW1 Edicon Limitada is inspired by the world of cigars; noting how complicated the assembly process is although not immediately obvious in it’s simplicity. As a gesture to their cigar influence each of the 99 timepieces are presented in a Makassar ebony case, which can be transformed into a humidor (with a humidifier and hygrometer). The presentation box can fit up to 50 cigars and is manufactured from a rare and precious kaya wood. The beautifully executed case compliments the masterpiece effortlessly with a similar colour palette.
