The Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar Watch Review

Tissot excel at Baselworld 2015 with their most technologically advanced timepiece to date - the T-Touch Expert Solar.

This year, Tissot reflects on the original T-Touch Expert Solar watch, which debuted as the first tactile timepiece to operate via solar energy. Their ground-breaking discovery is revised and adjusted to launch a new edition for 2015. With a focus on technical development, Tissot remains at the forefront of technology to present a touch screen watch powered by solar energy.

The SuperLumiNova indices serve to increase readability in restricted lighting and to recharge the innovative masterpiece. The newcomer provides daily essential functions allowing for the T-Touch Expert Solar to become a necessity for the wearer. A perpetual calendar signifies the day and week number to monitor hectic schedules as well as two alarms to distinguish between the week and weekend preferences. Two time zones cater for vacations with an opportunity to check the weather forecast plus other functions such as a compass, timer, altimeter with difference meter, chronograph lap and split with logbook, azimuth, regatta function and backlight. The perfect companion to organise and prepare for any situation.

The Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar timepiece is a contemporary and dynamic timepiece in both the design and technical advancement. The two tone dials refer to the horizon (an apt reference to the solar powered watch) with the display monitor sitting in the second tone, which at times is close to becoming invisible. A leather velcro bracelet strap with the opportunity for extension ensures that the instrument is easy to wear for the active adventurer or can be attached to a rucksack. Alternatively, the stylish black rubber strap will be adored by stylish watch enthusiasts worldwide.

A tactile scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an antireflective coating screen is framed by a antimagnetic titanium case with black PVD coating. With a water resistance of 100m the timepiece is highly functional and technical with a stylish, modern aesthetic. Tissot have truly designed an iconic invention that demonstrates their place as “innovators of tradition.”
