Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic Watch Review

Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled the Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic, a limited edition sports chronograph with a dual-time display.

"Until recently, keen travellers who are also sports lovers had to choose between two additional functions that are equally indispensable: the chronograph and a dual-time display," the brand explains. "Today, such decisions are a thing of the past, since the Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic watch not only combines these two sought-after indications on its dials, but also provides intrepid globetrotters with an additional safety feature in the shape of its patented compression key."

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic is limited to 500 pieces, and has a 46 mm case with a semi-matte black dial. The hour and minute hands are openworked and luminescent, and the chronograph seconds hand is a bold red colour. The filigree-style second timezone hand appears "deliberately in the background" to ensure a "hierarchical order of information". The GMT function follows the concept of Home TIme / Travel Time, and is complemented by a day/night indication. A patented compression key ensures the timepiece has optimal water resistance, by over compressing one of the crown's toric gaskets and locking it in a security position.
