The Supermarine S500/BK-GN is designed for the needs of professionals and it will keep on functioning impeccably in the harshest of conditions. Its movement is protected by an anti-magnetic Faraday cage and a shock-resistant mount. The watch is equipped with modified BE-36AE automatic calibre that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. A 38-hour power reserve is available for the convenience of the wearer. Other characteristics include glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The movement is certified by Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronométres (COSC) – the Swiss institute that tests chronometers. A day and date display is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark. The watch comes with a rotating, uni-directional bezel that marks elapsed time. Additional useful features include luminous dial elements, screw-in case back, automatic helium escape valve and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
