The Bremont ALT1-Z is a watch designed for the needs of aviators and world travellers. Z in the name stands for "Zulu" time, giving the wearer a chance to get information about local time and an official world time standard. It is equipped with BE-54AE, a modified Valjoux 7754 automatic calibre. The movement performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. A power reserve of 42 hours is available for the convenience of the wearer. Other characteristics include glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The movement is certified by Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronométres (COSC) – the Swiss institute that tests chronometers. A date display is positioned at 3 o'clock. The watch's chronograph comes with a 60-second, a 30-minute and a 12-hour counter. The Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) hand is the most prominent complication of the timepiece. Additional features include luminous dial elements, see-through case back, internally rotating bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
