ALT1-Z is the watch created especially for the needs of aviators and world travellers. Z in the name stands for "Zulu" time – the wearer is capable of inspecting local time alongside the official world time standard. The ALT1-Z/CR/07 watch is equipped with BE-54AE automatic calibre that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. A 42-hour power reserve is available for the convenience of the wearer. Other characteristics include glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The movement is certified by Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronométres (COSC) – the official Swiss institute that tests chronometers. A date display is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark. The watch's chronograph has a 60-second, a 30-minute and a 12-hour counter. A 24-hour UTC hand indicates the Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) scale. Other functionalities include see-through case back, internally rotating bezel, luminous dial elements and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
