The Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster Glow watch is astronaut-themed and created through the cooperation with Brian Brinnie – the pilot of the first private rocket SpaceShipOne. The watch is equipped with Swiss-made ETA 2836-2 automatic calibre that is certified by Contrôle Officiel Suisse de Chronométres (COSC) – the official Swiss institute that tests chronometers. The movement performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. Numerals, markers, hands and bezel elements are illuminated through the use of 80 self-powered micro gas tubes that glow 100 times brighter than luminous paint. The watch is protected from shock, magnetic influences and water penetration. One of the most prominent characteristics is the uni-directional, elapsed time bezel. Additional features include day and date display at 3 o'clock, sweep seconds, patented crown protection system and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
