A youthful watch maker by the name of Georges-Emile Eberhard opened a Eberhard watch making shop in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1887. The mechanical quality and luxurious beauty of the Eberhard pocket watches gave him a good reputation among some of the most scrupulous watch collectors during that time. Eberhard & Co. turned into a family run business when Georges-Emiles sons followed the same footsteps their father walked.
