The MBII timepiece by Bremont was designed in cooperation with British aviation company Martin-Baker. The anti-magnetic cage that protects the movement is one of the most specific MBII characteristics. MBII is equipped with BE-36AE automatic calibre that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. A 38-hour power reserve is available for the convenience of the wearer. Other characteristics include glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The movement is tested by Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronométres (COSC) – the Swiss institute that certifies chronometers. It is also protected from shock. A day and date display is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark. Other useful functionalities include luminous dial elements, patented inner bi-directional rotating bezel, screw-in case back and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
