Produced in a limited series paying homage to the 149th anniversary of the
first trip made by the British train, the Trainmaster Flying Scotsman subtly
blends a classic, elegant timepiece with today's watchmaking lines and
technology. The superb 18-carat rose gold case is delicately engraved with the
effigy of the Flying Scotsman on the caseback rim whose transparent sapphire
crystal reveals the workings of the ETA 2895-2 automatic mechanical movement.
The absolute precision of this model is certified by the inscription "Automatic
Chronometer" proudly displayed on the white enamel dial. The crown, the
typography of the Arabic numerals, the characteristic shape of the hands and the
second dial at six o'clock are directly inspired from the first BALL pocket
watches used by railroad employees, and give the Trainmaster Flying Scotsman an
irresistible retro appeal. The dial indexes and the hour and minute hands are
fitted with the revolutionary luminous technology developed by BALL Watch.
Micro-tubes of H3 gas requiring no external source of light or energy glow up to
100 times brighter than conventional luminous paints to provide an accurate
reading of the time even in complete darkness. This highly crafted timepiece is
set off by a crocodile leather strap with an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle.
